This is the piece I needed to read. You’re so powerful! It’s so hard to get that clarity of finding what is what you actually truly want to be working on. You did it! And with flying colors. I’m grateful for Broken Growth and meeting you. Thanks for the inspriation ❤️‍🩹

Ooooh thank you for this, Matilda! As a new mama navigating the return to running a business, this resonated deeply. Big YES for permission to pivot and let go of what’s no longer lighting you up!

LOVED reading this! Wanted to quote it all, honestly - thank you. Minus the mat leave, I feel like I'm a year behind you so I'll be saving this all down as words to live by haha. It's so important that we scrutinise the pursuit of growth-at-all-costs and addictive designs though - bring on the next mental year ahead!

I don't think you're behind me at all! Looking forward to carrying on this convo with you next year :)

So many of these points resonate with me as well! Epecially this: "I realised part of the problem was that I didn’t feel aligned with or excited by much of the work I was pitching for". This year, I finally broke out of the habit of approaching things the same old way (pitching myself to the same type of clients, picking certain industries, etc.) and challenged myself to explore how I could redirect my efforts toward what I’m truly passionate about, whether it's a newsletter, a more artistic approach to offering editorial services, or just taking up something completely new (like teaching). I’m documenting the journey in my diary and Notion sheets, experimenting with what yields results and what doesn’t. I’m certain that in a year or two, it will be a marvelous record to peruse!

Love to hear this Monika! And looove that you're experimenting and documenting the process - agreed that'll be so fun to look through in a couple of years. Keep going!
